Bring a pop of Kenyan colour to any corner of the home with its bands of red and green. This striped basket is ideal for storing toys, kindling or bathroom supplies, and also makes a fabulous laundry basket or large planter.
Known officially as Kiondos (kee-yon/-doh) and woven in rural Kenyan communities, these geometric baskets were originally made by mothers as practical and colourful wedding gifts for their daughters. Traditional kiondo weaving is experiencing a revival at the moment thanks to a new rise in demand.
