Sugar Boat: a relaxed, informal neighbourhood bistro offering great food at great value in a warm & welcoming environment. Located at 30 Colquhoun Square in the heart of Helensburgh, we’re open from 9 o’clock Monday to Saturday and 10 on a Sunday through until late at night: serving breakfast, morning coffees (and a home made scone or two), afternoon cream teas and inspired, seasonal à la carte bistro menus which showcase the best local produce.

Our courtyard at the rear is a perfect sun trap (when it shines!) and is partially covered with heaters making it a fab place to enjoy al fresco dining or a drink. The terrace at the front is the perfect spot to people watch, enjoy a casual beer or a wee dram or go all in and have lunch or dinner (there’s heaters too!). Looking for a post-work drink then pull up a stool at the bar and perhaps snack on a homemade sausage roll or crunch some pork crackling. We’ve even got our own wine shop for you to explore and take your newly-discovered bottles home!
